変位電流法による分子膜ナノ界面の誘電・電子的構造の解析と分子形態記録

Research Abstract

ほぼ当初の計画を達成できたと考えている。具体的な研究成果を要約すると以下のようになる。
[1] 双極性分子を構成する分子膜のナノ界面電子物性評価
一軸性分子モデルを採用して、水面上に形成された分子膜の状態をブラウン運動方程式を基礎として記述し、単分子膜の誘電緩和時間や配向度の変化を理論的に導くことができ、シアノビフェニル系液晶分子や脂質分子膜の変位電流波形を、上述の分子モデルを採用して、解析することができた。また、等方性ならびに非等方性分子により構成される分子膜の誘電率を、界面効果を考慮して理論解析することができた。また、単分子膜のSA-Sc相転移現象を理論的に予測できた。
[2] 電子性ナノ界面電子物性評価
金属と分子膜界面に移動電荷により形成されるナノ界面の空間的電荷分布およびエネルギー準位分布を理論的に評価できた。また、ポリイミドLB膜、フタロシアニンLB膜について、実験的にこれらの分布を求めることができた。
[3] 界面を利用したエレクトロニクスへの展開
(1) 光異性化によるアゾベンゼン分子の形態変化の記録に関し、脂質分子膜とアゾベンゼンとの混合分子膜について研究した。可視光および紫外光の交互照射によって得られる変位電流波形を計測し,脂質分子の側鎖の飽和・非飽和の違いにより、変位電流波形および水面上の表面圧力変化に著しい違いが現れることが明らかとすることができた。また、アゾベンゼンの光異性化の刺激を液晶性極性分子の配向変化に関する基礎的な知見を得る事ができた。弾性体理論を用いて界面分子の液晶への伝搬の様子を理論的に解析し、光透過率と容量の同時測定からこの様子を実験的に明らかにすることができた。
(2) 分子膜整流素子の基礎的な特性評価をすることができた。
