Research Abstract |
In 2000, we proceeded the study on the feasibility of Mobile classroom using diffusion type Infrared communication system and the study on the Automatic Interoperability test method for the Infrared communication. The main results are as follows. (1) We had the experiment of the electronic lecture system was done to evaluate the character of the electronic lecture support system which distributes a motion picture file as a subject in the taking lecture person terminal by using the wireless network such as Infrared LAN and wireless LAN. By the motion picture file system which used video NFS, what quality is decided as in the capacity of the access network when many notebook PCs access it at the same time. In the 10Mbps Ethernet interface, the terminals more than 4 units accessed to the network at the same time, quality deterioration of video pictures was recognized. Moreover, it had transfer ability equal to 10Mbps Ethernet, and we could find the 19GHz band and the 850nm infrared LAN used as a wireless. (2) The Interoperability test automation of the communication by the infrared media So far, the Interoperability test over the Digital Camera using Infrared media was done by the manual operation. We tried the Automatic test method using software log analytic tool which we developed to shorten the whole Interoperability test time. The abnormal movement was discovered by tne program made this time based on the present normal communication sequence. The discovery of abnormal systems by this automation program was about the same as the discovery of abnormal system by the manual operation, and found that this system was effective in the examination. It found that it was effective in the IrTran-P Interoperability test though there was a room of the improvement still the one for the perfect automation in such cases as the establishment of conformance test form.
