Research Abstract |
With advance of the medical function and aging of the patient, the medical concept is being varied and the change of the functional specialization among the medical facilities is caused. The establishment of environment evaluation method corresponded to the change of the medical facility is needed. This study was planed in the purpose to clarify the mutual relation of the environment composition element, the patient psychology and the medical function, to establish a medical environment evaluation method. In 1997-1998, the function of the nursing unit and the outpatient department were examined. In 1999, the functions of the central diagnosis departments (operating, examination and X-ray dept.) and the material handling dept. were analyzed. The important concern with a method of the management of the departments was pointed out in any cases. Also the past studies about the patient psychology and the environment evaluation methods were referred. The results of three years study were reported in the each chapters of nursing unit, outpatient dept., operating dept., examination and X-ray dept., material handling dept., patient psychology and methods of environment evaluation. Discussion of the concrete way of the medical environment evaluation will be the following study step, because the mutual relation of environmental elements, patient, and medical function was clarified in the report, although the level of discussion is diverse among the parts.
