| Research Abstract |
We have published about 20 publications in International Journal. The findings in this study were summarized below.
1. Dextromethorphan inhibited glycine currents in neurons dissociated from the guinea-pig nucleus tractus solitarii.
2. Human neutrophil elastase inhibited tracheala mucociliary transport in anesthetized quails.
3. MEF most strongly stimulated lysozyme transcription in lung epithelial cells (A549), colon carcinoma cells (Caco2), and skin fibroblasts (NIH3T3). These studies provide the first information identifying a transcription factor controlling lysozyme expression in epithelial cells.
4. Maimendongtang improved decreased airway clearance and abnormal secretion.
5. Pulmonary surfactant secretion was regulated by various drugs and endogenous factors in type II pneumocytes.
