Research Abstract

本研究では、文法記述の中に規則や変形のような操作的な概念を含まない、制約に基づく文法理論を前提にして、日本語の包括的な体系的記述ができるような文法の枠組を設計し、その上に具体的な日本語文法体系を開発するための基盤を築くことを目的とする。
音韻論や統語論の一部においては、最適性という考え方の有効性がほとんど確立されているが、自然言語処理においては、コーパスに基づく確率・統計的手法が盛んに用いられ、有効性が検証されつつある。理論構成の観点から有効性が認められた最適性などの考え方はこのような自然言語処理における最近の知見とよく調和するだろうと予測し、実際にその有効性を確かめることを目標にする。本年度は、
1.利用すべき電子化コーパスの選定日本語の一般的な姿をよく反映した日本語文のコーパスであり、研究用に自由に利用できるものとして、研究用の使用が許可されている、毎日新聞CD-ROM、および、新潮文庫の百冊を使用することにした。
電子化コーパスからの語彙の抽出 自動わかち書きのツールとして「茶筅」を利用して、サンプルとして選んだコーパスの中に含まれる単語の一覧を作成した。
3.主な語彙項目の語彙記述 制約に基づく日本語文法で一般に仮定されている素性構造に基づき、名詞、動詞などの範疇に属する主要な語彙項目の語彙情報を網羅的に記述する作業を行なった。
4.コーパスのタグ付けコーパスの個々の利用形態に依存して必要なタグを選定し、汎用の利用形態を仮定した、効果的なタグの形式を検討し、その上でタグ付けを行なった。
