Research Abstract	実験材料として燐酸オクタカルシウム(OCP)を LeGeros の方法に基づいて合成し,300-500μm径に整粒した.得られたOCPを用いて以下の実験を行った。 (1)ラットの頭頂骨の骨膜上及び骨膜下で、部位をメンブラン・フィルターを利用して特定しOCPを埋入し、埋入条件の違いが骨芽細胞の分化や骨形成に及ぼす影響に関して組織学的に検討を行った。 (2)ラットの頭蓋冠部分骨欠損モデルにOCPを埋入し、経時的に標本を採取して骨欠損部に生じる骨形成、すなわち骨修復の過程をX線学的及び組織学的に検索した. 以上の実験から以下の可能性が示された。 (1)骨膜下に埋入されたOCPは骨表面の骨芽細胞やその前駆細胞に作用し、OCPの周囲に新生骨が形成される. (2)埋入されたOCPを核として、OCPの周囲に新生骨が形成され、欠損部の骨修復が促進される. 従って以上の研究実績から骨補填材としてのOCPの有用性が期待できると考えられる.
