Research Abstract |
ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE NOx ANALYZER USING LASER INDUCED FLUORESCENCE TECHNIQUE WAS DEVELOPED. THIS INSTRUMENT COSISTS OF DIODE LASER PUMTPED Nd:YAG LASER, CORRECTION SYSTEM OF LASER FLUCTUATION, LIF CELL, COLLECTION OPTICS FOR LIF, PHOTON COUNTING SYSTEM, VACUUM SYSTEM, AND PERSONAL COMPUTER FOR SYSTEM CONTROL AND DATA ACQUSITION. WE OPTIMIZED THESE COMPONENTS AND MADE EFFORTS FOR DOWN-SIZING THE INSTRUMENT. THE INSTRUMENT CAN MEASURE AS LOW AS 3.8 PPTV OF NOィイD22ィエD2 FOR 1 MIN. INTEGRATION. WE BROUGHT THIS INSTRUMENT TO THE OKINAWA ATMOSPHERIC STATION WHERE AIR IS VERY CLEAN AND NOx LEVEL IS VERY LOW. WE SUCCEDED TO MEASURE CLEAN HUMID MARIN NOx CONCENTRATION. INTER-COMPARISON WITH DIFFERENT PRINCIPLE OF TECHNIQUE AND GOT QUITE GOOD RESULT AND WE CONCLUDED THIS INSTRUMENT IS PRACTICALLY QUITE USEFUL AND RELIABLE ENOUGH TO MEASURE REMOTE CLEAN AIR SAMPLE.
