MORITO Tatsuo (1888〜1984) served as the Minister for Education, Culture and Science during 1940' s in an occupied Japan. Then, he also served as the president of The Central Council for Education belonging to The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science through 1963 to 1971. This Council submitted an important report on Basic Guidelines for an Overall Reform of School Education to the Minister for Education. He was the key person who had great effect on educational policies during 1960's. The Office of Municipal History City of Yokohama has got a big materials on MORITO Tatsuo, which has been furnished by the family of the deseased. The materials contained the many documents, reports, minutes, papers, letters, books and so on. These materials, particularly materials concerning The Central Council for Education, are very important and useful not only to prove his role and responsibility, but also to prove the characteristic of educational policies for the term of high economic growth. But, these materials were seriously disordered in nearly 100 boxes. This project aimed at first of all classifying these materials, and secondly making the list of MORITO Tatsuo's materials. And as the research result, we have the list of MORITO Tatsuo's materials, which are sorted by (1) Before the WWII, (2) After the WWII, (3) Papers and so on, (4) Letters (5) The Central Council for Education.
