| Research Abstract |
1 資料の整備・年表の完成
アイルランド国立図書館、トリニティ・カレッジ図書館等の協力により、未入手であったM.A.Cheavasa.The only One Unfaithfulness of Naoise(1930),′J.J.Jones′.Deirdre(1937)の2作品を複写で入手。これにより、12世紀からの写本3点、口承伝承による採録資料約40点に加えて、J.MacPherson(1760)よりEion Neeson(1997)に至る文学作品59点を整備し、年表を完成した。
2 コンピュータ入力
J.Macpherson(1760)よりJ.M.Synge(1909)までの文学作品44点(全1326頁)をコンピュータ入力し、データベースを作成。各種コンコーダンスの作成と言語分析を開始した。なお、この中より最重要資料12点を厳選し、本伝説全般に関する解説を加え、Select Versions of Deirdre(全334頁)として、1998年5月に大学教育出版(岡山市)より出版の予定である。
3 研究成果の発表
(a)日本ケルト学者会議(1997年12月、名古屋)をはじめとして、本テーマに関する発表を国内で数回行った。
(b)第18回ハーバード・ケルト研究集会(The 18th Harvard Celtic Colloquium)において「アイルランド国民の共同作品としてのデァドラ伝説」(The Deirdre Legend-A Collaborative Work of the Irish People)を発表する予定である。(1998年5月、米ボストン市)
