Research Abstract	・有理数体上の楕円曲線Eはモジュラー曲線X_0(N)のヤコビ多様体のQ-factorである」といういわゆる谷山-志村予想は,1994年にWiles-TaylorによりEが半安定な場合に解決されたが,我々は,ある種のQ上のアーベル多様体にこの結果を拡張し,その応用として代数体上のQ-curveと呼ばれる楕円曲線や,種数2の代数曲線で,ヤコビ多様体が四元数乗法をもつもの(QM-curve)について,谷山-志村予想を証明した(中央大学の百瀬氏等との共同研究). ・種数2の代数曲線でそのヤコビ多様体が非自明な自己順同型を持つものの族を構成し,その中から上記の定理が適用出来る場合を数多く求めた。更に,level(conductor)が2000未満の場合に,対応する保型形式を最新のコンピュータを用いて,定符号四元数環のBrandt行列及びtheta級数およびSelbergの跡公式によって求めた. ・逆に,非自明な実指標を持つ尖点形式(new form)f(z)でそのFourier係数の生成する体が2次体Kであるものに対して,志村のアーベル曲面A(f)/Qが対応する.これについて,Q上の種数2の代数曲線でヤコビ多様体がA(f)とQ^^-上同種なものを具体的に求める,という問題を研究し,K=Q(√<-5>)となることが知られている5個の例について解答を得た.
