| Research Abstract |
多変数保型形式の典型的な例であるSiegel modular形式やHilbert modular形式については近年その発展がめざましい。これについては、古典的な一変数保型形式の単なる拡張としてではなく、二次形式論や代数的整数論等への応用をめざし、Hilbert-BlumenthalやSiegelによって研究の出発点が明確にされた。我々の研究目標は、一変数の場合に得られ様々な応用のあった結果を多変数の場合に拡張することであった。この研究期間中大きく分けて2つの結果を得た。一つは有限体上のSiegel modular形式に関する結果、二つ目はp進体上のSiegel modular形式に関する結果である。最初の結果は一変数の場合にSwinnerton-Dyerが得たものを2次の場合に拡張したものである。これまでも特別な素数pについての結果は存在したが、今回の研究により5以上の全ての素数pについてその構造を決定することが出来た。二番目の結果は、かつて一変数の場合にJ.-P.Serreが研究したp進modular形式の理論を高次元に拡張しようという試みのなかで得られたものである。Serreはp進modular形式の概念を定義し、その典型的例であるp進Eisenstein級数なるものを考察することによって、Kubota-Leopoldtのp進L-関数を再構成した。我々の結果はSerreが得たp進Eisenstein級数を次数の高いSiegel modular形式の場合に考察したもので興味深い点はそれが再びある種のSiegel modular形式になっていることである。双方のの結果とも論文にまとめられMathematisches Zeitschriftに掲載が決定している。
