| Research Abstract |
〓透媒質方程式のCauchy問題Ut=△U^minR^N×(O,T)において、Barenblattの例解では1<m<3のとき、U^mの空間変数に関する2回弱微分∂xi∂xjU^m(i,j=1、…、N)はL^2(R^N×(O,T))に入る。例解ではなく、一般解がこの性質をみたすかどうかが問題になっていた。
研究代表者は、以前にこの問題をN=1のときに解決した(Proc,Amer,Math.Sor,107(1989))。今回この科学研究費補助金のもとで、研究分担者の協力のもとで、もしも一般解が球対称であるならば、N≧2のときでも上記の問題が肯定的であることを解決した。この結果は裏面に記載の論文(Applicable Analrsis,69(1998))で発表された。なお、この問題に関連して、弾性方程式の境界値問題についてもある結果が得られ、それは同じく裏面に記載の論文(Jpn.Industriul Appl.Math.,16(1999))に発表される予定である。
