Research Abstract

昨年度は,平面上の理想流体の流れ,特にいわゆるランキンの卵形を,等角写像論・単葉関数論における面積定理を基軸とした関数論的な意義を中心に研究し,相応の成果を収めた.今年度の目標は,この考えを平面領域のみならず一般のリーマン面にも適用しようとするものであった.これについては,必要な物理学・工学,特に流体力学的な知識を集め,数学的方法によってわれわれの問題への具体的な適用を図れる見通しがついた.すなわち,計算すべき量と計算方法についての見通しが得られたことが今年度の主たる成果である.研究経過において,それぞれ違った固有の分野で研究活動を続けている各研究分担者(彼らの個々の成果については紙幅の都合で割愛)からの支援が殊のほか多かった.計算実行の可能性とその後に最終結果をまとめ得る見通しを得た.本研究課題での研究費支給は本年度をもって打ち切られるが,具体的な計算とさらなる考察については今後も研究を続ける予定である.
昨年度に計画実行したこと,平面上のランキン卵形の関数論的な研究は一応の解決を得て,近々その成果を含む論文が公刊される予定であるが,これは未だ解決すべき問題を残してもいる.それについても今後研究を続ける予定である.
また,かなり以前に得た(しかも本研究課題の基調にもなっている)われわれの成果を古典的な単葉関数論に適用してあらたな結果を得ることも行われ始めた.われわれの結果がより詳しく精密にかつ一般になった今,これらの適用範囲とその結果も変化を遂げることは必定であるから,この方向にも十分な関心を払い続けたいと考えている.
