| Research Abstract |
幾何学的対象に埋め込まれたグラフの研究としては、まず閉曲面の三角形分割や四角形分割についての研究を行った。三角形分割に対しては、頂点数が十分大きければ、同じ頂点数をもつ三角形分割は、対角変形と呼ばれる基本変形を繰り返すことで、イソトピーの差を除いて、互いに移りあえることを示した。この事実は、Dehn twistと呼ばれる同相写像が、離散化されたグラフにおける局所変形によって実現できることを意味する。四角形分割においては、cycle parityと呼ばれる不変量が重要な役割を果たすことを除いては、三角形分割と同様のことが成り立つことが示された。これ以外にも、本型の位相空間にグラフを埋め込む際のページ数に関する結果も得られている。数論との関連として、与えられたグラフを平面上の整数距離グラフとして実現する方法に関する研究を行った。
超越数論からの結果としては、ある種の関数値の超越性に関するネステレンコの定理を応用し、ロジャース・ラマヌジャン連分数、およびフィボナッチ数の逆数和の超越性を証明した。また、コンパクト多様体の上のリーマン計量全体のなす空間の幾何学的性質を、微分同相写像の群の作用を使い調べることができた。さらに、有限体係数多項式の数論を用いて623次元均等分布性をもつ、コンパクトで高速な疑似乱数発生法を提唱し、Cプログラムとして実現した。これらの結果を組合せ的な立場から見直すことは、来年度の課題である。
