Research Abstract |
The magnetostriction and the thermal expansion on single crystalline UPt3 have been measured for the magnetic field applied parallel to the b- and c-axis of the crystal. Anomalous length changes different from known superconducting phase boundaries have been detected. One of the anomalies is a onset of the peak effect, and others should be connected with the reorientation of the unconventional superconducting order parameter.
