| Research Abstract |
これまで我々は、逆問題の数値解析に関する研究を行ってきた。さらに近年、その研究で提案した方法群を一般化、拡張した数学モデルを構築し、それらを情報システム、マルチメディア情報処理へ応用した研究を行っている。
このモデルに基づき、実際にメタデータベースシステム(データベースの集合を操作の対象としたシステム)の専門家と共同で、意味的相互運用性(Semantic Interoperability)のためのアルゴリズムと実装のための方法群を構築し、実際のシステムに適用した。さらにそれらを、現存の特殊な辞書(特定有限個の語群で全ての語が定義されている辞書)からフィルター群を使って情報を抽出することにより、あらゆる文脈における(full scalemodelと呼ばれる)状況に依存した知識獲得のための意味的連想検索を可能にした。
さらにこの手法を複数個のメタデー夕で表現されるメディアデータ検索にも適用できるようモデルの拡張を行った。具体的に画像検索システムへの応用を実現し、これをネットワーク上のメディアデータの統合的な検索に対応できる様拡張しつつある。
