Research Abstract

Adsorption and desorption of copper, iron and aluminum that used as mordant when silk was dyed by natural dye were examined. And, influence of the adsorbed metal on the dyeing properties of silk was examined.
The results of examinations, this confirms that adsorption of copper, iron and aluminum on silk fiber increased in process of treating time. And, copper and iron were adsorbed similar to maximum adsorption in first 5 minutes.
The desorption of copper and aluminum from silk fiber were more easy than that of iron in its early time. But the electric conductivity under desorption of iron from silk fiber increased by about ten times that of first time after standing undisturbed overnight.
And it was observed that copper adsorbed in silk fiber inhibited the adsorption of C.I.Acid Orange 7 on silk fiber.
After this, I would like to measure the maximum quantity of adsorbed metal to silk fiber. And, I hope to clear adsorbing characteristics of metal to silk fiber.
