| Research Abstract |
This report shows a sustainable natural forest management system of The Tokyo University Forest. This University Forest is situated in the central part of Hokkaido Island and the area covers about 22,800 ha. The University Forest is a good example of an enterprise scale natural forest management based on selection cutting and natural regeneration. The University Forest has severely damaged by typhoon in 1981, the wind fall volume was 810,000 m^3, which is 18% of total stand volume at that time. This report describes under items.
