Research Abstract	1.本研究の目的重症化した熱帯熱マラリアには激しい全身症状が誘発されることがあり、その症状の一部は全身シュワルツマン反応に類似している。シュワルツマン反応においてある種のサイトカインが上昇していることと、熱帯熱マラリア感染において同じサイトカインの上昇がおこることとを考えあわせると、マラリア感染による全身反応においてシュワルツマン反応が惹起されている可能性は一度調べる必要があるので本研究を企画した。 2.本年度研究の結果 (1)ウサギ、マウスを実験動物として大腸菌由来のLPSをシュワルツマン反応惹起物質として原著にしたがい、局所シュワルツマン反応および全身シュワルツマン反応を追試した。マウスの系統についてはさらに匹数を増やして反応の強度、頻度をつめる必要があることが示唆された。 (2)大腸菌由来のLPSよりも、チフス菌由来のLPSによっておこわれたシュワルツマン反応の方が病理学的変化は顕著であった。 (3)ネズミマラリア原虫、Plasmodium berghei感染赤血球をサポニンで処理し、さらにソニケーターで破砕させ3600r.p.m上清を材料としてシュワルツマン反応をマウスにより試みた結果、C3H/He,CBAにおいて腎臓に鬱血が観察された。 3.本年度の結論と次年度の計画マラリア感染によりシュワルツマン反応が惹起されている可能性が高いと思われる実験結果をえた。次年度はシュワルツマン反応惹起物質がマラリア原虫由来LPSであるか否かを確認する。さらにサイトカインの動向についてもアッセイを行う。
