Research Abstract

To determine the relationship between angiogenesis and monoclonal antibody (mAb) uptake in micrometastases, we made a model of hepatic micrometastases after splenic injection of human colon cancer cell (HT-29) in nude mice, and analyze the angiogenesis and mAb (H-15) uptake in the model. In micrometastases which size were between 300*600 mum, a plenty of angiogenesis was found and high accumulation of mAb was identified around newer vessels. This information is very useful to conduct clinical trials of radioimmunotherapy in adjuvant setting.
