プラズマ内部磁場揺動測定のためのモード変換散乱法の確立

Research Abstract

1. 周波数掃引型ヘテロダイン受信機二台を用い、ガンマ10セントラル部上下対向ポートおよび水平ポートにおいて、モード変換散乱(Cross-Polarization Scattering:CPS)および反射計測定を行った。送受信ホーンとして双モード広帯域ホーンを用いることにより、正常波(O)および異常波(X)間のモード変換散乱、OモードおよびXモード反射波の同時測定を行い、密度揺動および磁場揺動の分離評価に成功した。
2. CPS装置および反射計を、イオンサイクロトロン周波数領域(ICRF)の波動、およびドリフト周波数領域の低周波波動の測定に適用し、マイクロ波散乱法およびプローブとの対応から以下の結果を得た。
(1) ICRF領域の、アルフベン・イオンサイクロトロン(AIC)モードの時間・空間振る舞いを観測し、その励起機構を明らかにするとともに、端損失との相関から軸方向閉じ込めへの影響を評価した。
(2) CPS装置により、プラズマのベータ値およびイオン温度の非等方性の増大にともなうAIC不安定性の成長と、軸方向境界で決定される離散的な定在波モードを確認した。また、モード間の非線形結合により生じる低周波磁場揺動の励起を観測し、ベータ値飽和との関連も議論した。
(3) 信号解析にウェーブレット変換を適用し、AIC波動および低周波波動の時間一周波数スペクトル、クロススペクトルの導出からそれぞれの波動の伝搬速度を決定することができた。
4. 超短パルスマイクロ波を利用した新しいプラズマ診断技術の研究及び開発を計算機上で実行できるシミュレータの開発を行った。また、超短パルス反射計の実機適用を行い、密度分布および密度揺動の同時測定に成功した。超短パルス波はその広帯域特性から、反射だけでなく、透過、吸収およびモード変換散乱など様々な相互作用が起こり得るため、プラズマ診断に新しい展望を開くものと期待されている。
