Research Abstract	クロフジツボTetraclita属は、世界中の熱帯から温帯にかけての潮間帯に普通に見られる。そのうち日本には殻の色の違うTetraclita japonica^.(台湾-津軽海峡)、T.formosana^.(台湾-伊豆半島)およびT.squamosa^.(紅海-房総半島)という独立した3種が知られ、前2種は形態的類似性が高く、近縁な関係が推定された。それらに加えてT.rufotincta^.(紅海-インド洋)、T.rubescens^.(北米西岸)、T.confinis^+(カリフォルニア湾)およびT.stalactifera^+(フロリダ-ブラジル)の7種についてミトコンドリアDNAの塩基配列に基づいて系統を解析した。^.を付けた5種はかつてT.squamosaの亜種として、また^+を付けた2種はかつてT.stalactiferaの亜種とされていた。ミトコンドリアDNAの2遺伝子(COIおよび16SrRNA)の塩基配列を解析して系統解析を行った。 T.confinisとT.stalactiferaは、現在パナマ地峡東西に分かれているので、パナマ地峡の成立(3〜3.5Ma)に伴う地理的分断によって種分化したと推定され、塩基配列からも近縁であることが分かった。すなわちTetraclitaの2遺伝子で求められた分子進化速度がエビなどの他の分類群のそれらとほぼ等しい値を示し、地理的分断による種分化の可能性を強く示唆した。 COIおよび16SrRNA遺伝子それぞれによって描かれた系統樹は異なっていた。2つの系統樹を比較し、形態や地理的分布などから、16SrRNA遺伝子による系統関係がより信頼性が高いと評価した。
