Research Abstract	(1)平成9年度は、ワークショップ等を通じて、国内の研究者とCOEメンバーの共同研究体制作りを行ってきた。各班の研究の統合を図って、平成10年3月14日に複雑系のシンポジウムを京都市国際交流会館で行い、一般参加者に対して研究紹介を行った。平成10年度には、6月に海外からの研究者を交えた非線形動学の共同研究会を開く予定である。また、メンバーが執筆あるいは編集した単行本を出版する計画もある。 (2)個別に述べると、マクロ動学研究班では、国内の非線形動学に関心のある研究者による研究会を2ケ月に1度のペースで行い、海外の研究者による研究会も行って、複雑系を均衡マクロ動学の立場から研究した。西村は、5月には、ウイーン大学でDocknerと動学ゲームの共同研究、8月には米国のニューヨーク大学でBenhabibと均衡の不決定性の共同研究、コ-ネル大学のMitraとカオス動学の共同研究を行ってきた。11月には、米国のニューヨーク大学での国際シンポジウムで招待講演、12月には、オーストラリアのタスマニア大学でのシミュレーションの国際学会で基調報告をしている。これらの研究は、ディスカッション・ペ-パ-(DP)にまとめられている。また、西村、新後閑、矢野は、カオス動学の共同研究を行い、DPにまとめ、西村が5月のマルセ-ユ大学での国際学会の招待講演で発表した。西村は、限定合理性に関連して、人間の認知と行動の調査及び実験を行ってきた。この研究は、データを解析した上で、論文にまとめる予定である。 (3)地域経済研究班では、毎月2回の頻度で都市経済学研究会を開催し、都市・地域・国際経済学、地理学、及び、土木・交通計画学の分野から国内外の研究者を招き、空間経済学の立場から複雑系の研究を行ってきた。藤田はP.Krugman、A.J.Venablesと共同で、複雑系としての空間経済学の研究成果をまとめた″The Spatial Economy : Cities,Regions,and International Trade″(MIT Pressより平成10年度出版予定)を著し、J.-F.Thisse、D.Wildersinと共同で、集積の経済と都市・地域経済の空間構造についての研究成果をまとめた著書を執筆中である。さらに藤田は、12月のビクトリア大学での国際学会で、複雑系としての空間経済学の展望について基調報告した。藤田と森は共同で、生産及び需要の外部経済の下での地域システムの長期的変動過程の分析を進め、特に、一国経済の空間構造に着目したこれまでの分析を国際経済へと拡張した。研究成果はDPにまとめられ、藤田が11月のバッファロ-での国際学会で発表した。森は、輸送技術に起因する規模の経済の重要性に着目し、輸送網の空間構造の決定と国際・地域間の貿易パターンの相互依存関係について分析し、DPにまとめ、同学会で発表した。田淵は、地域間所得格差について分析し、DPにまとめ、12月のビクトリア大学での国際学会で発表した。 (4)ゲーム研究班では複雑系としての経済システムを、制度、市場、組織、個人の間の多様な戦略的相互依存関係の観点からとらえ、その動学メカニズムの生成と進化の基本原理を、ゲーム理論によって分析している。とくに、複雑系経済システムにおいて、どのようにして行動主体間で協力行動が実現され、さらに組織化されるかを、動学ゲームや交渉ゲームの理論を用いて考察した。この一環として、ゲーム理論研究会をほぼ毎月開催している。具体的な研究成果として、第一には、個人、組織、社会の間の動学的な相互連間を分析するための基本的なフレームワークとなるゲームモデルを構築し、その予備的な解析を行った。また、理論解析の補完として、モデルのコンピュータシミュレーションを行った。第二に提携形成による協力の実現可能性を考察するために、n人の動学的な交渉ゲームモデルを作り、ゲームの非協力均衡点の性質を分析した、さらに、理論結果をテストするために、3人交渉ゲームの実験をデザインし、日本とオーストリアで実験を行った。実験データに基づいて、実際の交渉行動の限定合理的な特徴や性質を考察した。 (5)非線形計量分析班では、動学モデルによって生成されるデータの統計的解析を行い、また、地球環境問題に、本研究計画の分析視点を援用した研究に進展を見た。
