| Research Abstract |
日本からオーストラリアまで分布するアジア熱帯系マメ科植物の分類学的研究を行うため、8月1日〜8月22日に、オランダ国立標本館(ライデン)とイギリス王立キュー植物園標本館で、1月18日から1月21日に中国科学院植物研究所標本館(北京)で標本および文献の調査を行った。また、アジア熱帯系マメ科植物に近縁でニューカレドニア固有属(Arthroclianthus属およびNephrodesmus属)の系統分類学的解析のための標本および試料を収集するため、12月12日〜12月23日にニューカレドニアで現地調査を行った。
アジア熱帯系マメ科植物との分類学的比較研究により、日本産マメ科植物の分類を3亜科22連57属に整理することができた。また、日本からオーストラリアまで分布するコマツナギ属のミツバノコマツナギでは、小葉面の毛の形態により、琉球および蘭嶼島の植物を他地域のものから識別できることが判明した。さらに、Campylotropis属の分類学的再検討および分子系統解析によりスンダ列島(ジャワ島〜チモール)に分布するC.cytisoidesはインドシナ半島から中国雲南省に分布するC.parvifloraと同一種の変種として区別できることが明らかになった。この隔離分布する種は、同じ属の他種と異なり、自家和合性をもつことも明らかになった。
形態学的比較研究では、アジア熱帯系マメ科植物を代表するヌスビトハギ連の花粉形態と果実構造について、近縁なオーストラリア固有属(Hardenbergia属、Kennedia属)との比較により、その進化傾向を推定した。また、アジア熱帯系マメ科植物全体について、子葉のcotyledon areole(CA)の多様性を解析し、CAの出現位置が属間で変異し、属の識別形質として有効であることを明らかにした。
