流動化社会における職業教育の在り方に関する比較社会学的研究

Research Abstract

経済のグローバル化、情報/コミュニケーション・メディアの革新、価値観・生活スタイルの多様化、それらを背景にした職業世界・雇用形態の変化と労働市場の流動化などが進む今日、世界各国で、ハイティーン期の教育の在り方、とくに教育と職業とのリンケージや職業教育の在り方が問い直されている。本研究は、日本、アメリカ、スイス、シンガポール、ドイツ、オランダ、デンマーク等における職業技術教育と職業・労働市場との接続関係を中心に比較検討することにより、職業教育を中心にハイティーン期の教育の在り方について総合的に研究し、流動化する21世紀社会における教育の在り方について、幾つかのモデルを提示することを目的にしている。なお、本研究は、上記諸国のうち最初の四カ国の研究者による対等な共同研究として行われているが、日本側の研究は3年間の継続研究で、その最終年度にあたる今年度は、主に次の三つの作業を行った。
(1)調査対象国10カ国の教育システム、職業教育、雇用市場、青少年問題などの実態と、近年の教育改革動向について、資料・情報の収集を行い、教育課題・政策課題の検討を。
(2)カナダ(平成12年7月)、イギリス・ポルトガル(平成12年10月)で、職業教育、徒弟性、キャリア形成等について、行政機関、中等後教育機関等を訪問し、観察・インタヴューと資料収集を中心とした現地調査を行い、併せて、スイスのルツェルン(平成12年12月)に四カ国の共同研究者が集まり、研究成果報告書とりまとめのための最終的な打ち合わせと情報交換を行った。
(3)共同研究参加4カ国の共同研究者の協同作業として、これまでの3年間に行った四カ国での現地調査の結果を踏まえ、研究調査報告書のとりまとめ作業を行った。その報告書は、Six-Nation Education research Project:Vocational Training and Education(VTE)Final Reportとして、"Different Paths,Similar Pursuits:The Economic and Personal Potential 0f Vocational Traning and Education in an International Context"のタイトルで、2001年3月末に印刷公表する予定である。
