Research Abstract

本課題の目的はヒトの認知機能の進化学的背景を多角的な実験から総合的に解明することである。藤田はマカクザルの認知発達を友永、石川(協力者)と共同で分析し、生物的運動などが早期から認識されることを示した。山下(協力者)と共同で、ハトの色知覚がヒトと類似していることを示した。別財源で7月〜1月まで京都に滞在したアンダーソンが、藤田、粟津(協力者)と共同で、リスザルの衝動的選択行動を分析し、衝動性の制御が可能なことを示した。また藤田、12月〜2月まで滞在したヴィック、黒島(ともに協力者)と共同で、リスザルが欺き行動を学習することを示した。ヴィックは藤田と共同でオマキザルが実験者の視線方向を認識できることを示した。2月にファゴッドが来日し、藤田とリスザル・オマキザルの写真認識と所有の概念に関する実験をおこなった。藤田、山下、石川、粟津、黒島は、11月にダラスで催された米国基礎心理学会に出席し、研究報告をおこない、研究討議をテキサス大学他の研究者とおこなった。上野は11月にフィラデルフィアのモネル化学感覚研究所に滞在し、霊長類の匂い知覚とその発達に関する予備的研究をおこなった。板倉はチンパンジーの視線認識が、チンパンジーやヒトの音声の提示により向上することを示した。プティ(協力者)が6月に来日し、板倉と共同で成人の視覚的注意が無自覚的に顔写真や線画の視線方向に移動することを示した。友永はチンパンジーの顔認知、ニホンザル乳児の新生児模倣、愛着の発達、マカクザルの共同注意を分析した。7月に別財源で犬山に滞在したファゴットとともに、チンパンジーの主観的輪郭の知覚を分析した。また4月に別財源で来日したヴィザルベルギとともに、霊長類の道具使用に関する研究をおこなった。7月始めに、犬山で上野、ヴィザルベルギを除く関係研究者が会合を持ち、研究計画全体の打ち合わせと研究討議をおこなった。
