| Research Abstract |
本年度も,非決定性有向オートマトン,とくに可換非決定性有向オートマトンの研究を行った.昨年度の報告書にあるように決定性完備オートマトンA=(A,X)の場合,有向性の定義はX上の語uが存在して|Au^A|=1が成り立つというかたちで一意的に定まるが,非決定オートマトンの場合ア複数の定義が可能である.A=(A,X)を非決定性オートマトンとする.uをX上の語とする.

のいずれかの(Di)が成り立つとき,uはAのD_i有向語,またAをD_i有向オートマトンとよぶ.AのD_i有向語全体の集合をD_i(A)と記す.決定性完備オートマトンの場合は,(D1)-(D3)の概念は一致しD_1(A)=D_2(A)=D_3(A)が成り立つ.これらをD(A)と記す.次に,L_<N D(i)>={D_i(A)|A:D_i有向オートマトン},L_<CND(i)>={D_i(A)|A:完全D_i有向オートマトン},L_D={D(A)|A:決定有向オートマトン}と正規言語のクラスの部分クラスを定義する.これらのクラスは包含関係により半順序集合をなし下半束になる.オートマトンのクラスを可換非決定性有向オートマトンのクラスに限ると対応する言語のクラスとしてL'_D,L'_<ND(i)>,L'_<CND(i)>が得られる.これらのクラスの間では,次の包含関係が成り立つ.L'_D=L'_<CND(1)>=L'_<CND(2)>=L'_<CND(3)>⊂L'_<ND(1)>=L'_<ND(3)>⊂L'_<ND(2)>.決定性完備オートマトンのクラスについてはCernyの予想とよばれる有名な問題がある.状態数nの決定性完備オートマトンAに対して|Au^A=1となる最短の語uの語長をp(A)とする.次にAを状態数nの決定性完備オートマトンのクラスの中でうごかしたときのp(A)の最大値をd(n)とする.d(n)=(n-1)^2というのがCernyの予想であるが,未解決の問題である.状態数nの可換非決定性有向オートマトンの種々の部分クラスに関してd(n)に対応する値を決定した.以上の結果はおもに研究代表者の伊藤正美と分担者のImreh Balazsとの共同研究として得られた.研究代表者と分担者の勝良昌司,P.Domosiが行った共同研究としては,回文のみから構成される稠密文脈自由言語の研究がある.
