Research Abstract	平成10年度の夏季のおしょろ丸調査航海では、6月22日〜8月1日のアラスカ湾西経165度線、西経145度線、および南東ベーリング海においての調査研究実績の概要を以下にまとめた。 1. CTDによる両海域の物理環境調査および採水による基礎生産の現場測定と衛星情報との照合に関する共同研究では、ベーリング海においてココリス(円石藻類)の大発生に遭遇し、衛星観測に同期した船舶観測を実施した。 2. 各種プランクトンネットによるプランクトン群集構造の種組成と定量評価を実施した。 3. マイクロネクトンの水深可変型中層刺網による採集を実施した。 4. 無選択性調査用流網による高次生物の群集構造と食物関係の解析した結果、特にアラスカ湾域においてサケ類胃内容物からイカ類が多く出現し、食物網における重要性が示唆された。 5. 水中ロボットカメラによる観察をアラスカ湾およびベーリング海で実施した。 6. 海洋生活期におけるザケマス類の鱗・体内微量金属類による成長履歴解析を実施した。おしょろ丸寄港地シアトルにおいて1998年7月17日にワークショップ"Ecosystem Dynamics in the Northeastern Pacific and the Bering Sea"を実施した。コンビーナは齊藤誠一(北大)、Ric Brodeur(AMFS/NOAA)、Donald Gunderson(University of Washington)、David L.Eslinger(University of Alaska)の4名であった。ベーリング海の共同研究観測を終了しダッチハーバー下船後、齊藤、山本は1998年8月4日、アラスカ大学フェアバンクス校においてVera Alexander水産海洋学部長と当該共同研究の今後進め方について打ち合わせを行った。 1999年2月にDonald GUnderson(University of Washington)を招聘して本年度成果取りまとめと来年度研究計画打ち合わせを行った。
