| Research Abstract |
本研究の目的は我が国における大学等の脳研究の総合的推進方策をたてて、具体的に提言実行して、さらに国際的レベルに通用する研究体制を確立すべく、脳研究の総合的推進における具体的な企画・立案をすることである。以上の目的達成のために各班員の役割分担を行い、濱班長の総括統合のもとで活動実施した。
1)中西他10名の班は、平成13、14年度採用公募班員全員(60名)に対して研究実施計画についての発表会を行い評価した。また、平成12、13年度採用公募班員に対して研究成果報告会を12月に2日間に渡って行い、総括班員全員による評価を行った。評価の結果、好評であった。16名に対してさらなる発展を期待して総括班より研究費の追加支援を行った。
2)青木他6名の班は、(1)若手トレーニングコースとして生理学研究所に協力して実施した(延べ約100名参加)(2)外国の研究者5名を招聘して、日本の研究者と「脳と行動」の3日間の国際ワークショップを実施した(約60名参加)(3)神経回路研究の若手育成を目的としたワークショップを実施した(約50名参加)(4)九州地区において3名の外国人を招聘して、九州地区の研究者約60名の参加によるワークショップを実施した。
3)伊佐他2名の班は日本の脳研究に関するデータベースの充実化とサービスを行った。事務局として広報を担当して、総合脳主催の研究成果発表会、ワークショップの要旨等のまとめを行った。
4)勝木、伊佐他5名は(1)サル、ネコの実験動物の整備を行った(京大霊長類研、東京医科歯科大学、日本大学、大阪大学、生理学研究所等)(2)脳バンクを新潟大脳研、東京都精神神経センターで充実させた(3)富山医科薬科大でベクターの開発を行った。
