Research Abstract |
Supervising group of the research project Special Priority Area "Supersymmetry and Unified Theory of Elementary Particles" has been engaged in facilitating the communication among members of the project, invitation of foreign researchers and publication of research activities. During the last 4 years it has organized 19 conferences and invited about 70 foreign scholars. Attendance of conference was 50-120 each. These conferences were focused at the most recent research interests and were quite successful in announcing our latest results and facilitating information exchange among conference participants. In particular the long-term workshops in the summer which we organized since 1999 were very effective and there appeared 10-15 papers each year acknowledging the stimulating atmosphere of the workshop. Most of the talks at these conferences are posted at the web page of particle theory group of Univ. of Tokyo. We have published 10 conference proceedings and 3 lecture notes. We list their titles in the following. Proceedings 1. "Supersymmtry and Unified Theory of Particle Physics", 1998, Dec. 2. "D-branes, Matrix Models and AdS/CFT", 1999, Jan 3. "Gauge Theory and Integrable Models", 1999, Jan. 4. "Developments in Superstring and M-theory", 1999, Oct. 5. "Supersymmetry, Chiral Symmetry and Gauge Theories" (in Japanese) ,1999, Nov. 6. "New Directions to Unified Theories", 2000, Oct. 7. "Non-perturbative Dynamics in String Theory", 2000, Nov. 8. "Noncommutative Geometry in String Theory and Field Theories", 2001, Feb. 9. "Strings, Branes and Unified Theories", 2001, Nov. 10. "D-branes and Mirror Symmetry", 2002, Feb. Lecture notes 1. "Dynamics of Gauge Theories and String-duality", 1998, Dec. 2. "Topological Field Theories and related Topics" (in Japanese), 1998, Nov. 3. "Recent Advances in String Theory", 1999, Dec.
