Research Abstract

1.歯周病における生体防御反応の解析:細菌および細菌性因子の減弱に伴い炎症局所では、インターロイキン1βが減少しインターロイキン1αが主体となる反応を経過した後に骨形成に移行する事が明らかになった。早期発症型歯周炎においてFcレセプターの遺伝型の変異が観察された。又、好中球の産生する酵素により炎症性サイトカインの産生制御が行われていた。P.gingivalisに対する唾液中の特異的IgA抗体が、防御的に働く可能性が示唆された。炎症性細胞の機能発揮に関与するIP3結合タンパク質(p130)を発見しその作用機序更に、ヒトに於いて肝炎ワクチンに対する抗体産生応答が異なるTヘルパー細胞サブセットにより制御されている事を明らかにしている。
2.歯周病における組織修復の解析:種々のサイトカインにより線維芽細胞のヒアルロン酸産生が制御され組織修復に影響している事を明らかにした。歯槽骨の創傷治癒過程での遺伝子の解析で未知の7つの遺伝子が検出された。更に、歯周組織再生誘導法においてドキシサイクリンやEDTA併用が再生に有効な効果を示す動物実験結果やin vitroの実験結果を得た。
以上、歯周病における生体防御反応及び組織修復について重要な所見を明らかにしており、新しい歯周治療法の開発を導く基礎的研究として十分な成果を挙げた。
