| Research Abstract |
In this study, We investigated, by the overseas interview survey and the questionnaire survey toJapanese companies, into the actual conditions about the environmental management system and its influence on local environment under the situation on the rapid globalization and the serious global environmental problems. As the result, we found the following facts.
1 According the questionnaire survey to Japanese companies, the environmental management system was rapidly made in the latter half of 1990s by the formation of organization, adopting ISO14001, and the introduction of environmental accounting etc., .
2 According the comparative study about the environmental reports that we collected on the questionnaire survey to Japanese companies, in the overseas interview survey, and by the internet, many Japanese companies made the environmental reports in the late 1990s. It is late and not substantial in comparison with German companies.
3 According the comparative study of the environmental management systems about the Japanese companies to expand its business overseas, the overseas subsidiaries are late in general to develop it in comparison with the head office in mother country.
