| Research Abstract |
今年度の成果は次の通りである。
1.量子不変量との関連
ジョーンズ多項式などの結び目の量子不変量や,3次元多様体の量子不変量は,ウェブ図から定まる不変量の一種の表現と考えられる。この結び目のジョーンズ多項式が,結び目補空間の双曲体積と関連することが明かとなり,計量的な不変量が量子不変量やウェブ図と関係していることが少しずつ分ってきた。
2.幾何的構造との関係
結び目の双曲構造が,2橋結び目と呼ばれるクラスに対し詳しく作間により研究されており,双曲構造を変型していったときの性質などが詳しく解析されている。この研究は,1の成果により,ジョーンズ多項式と直接関係するものであることがわかり,このことから,結び目補空間の双曲構造から量子不変量についての性質をみることもできるようになった。
3.代数的表現論との関連
ウェブ図は,リー環により自然に表現されるが,無限次元代数としての構造を持つので,他の様々な代数とも関連していると考えられる。このような代数の中で最近特に注目されているのが頂点作用累代数と呼ばれるもので,物理的な構造を与えたり,有限群の構造を与えたりする基本的な代数系と考えられており,リーマン面の構造とも関係している。この代数の表現論について永友が,研究を進め,最高ウェイト表現などについての新しい知見を数多く得た。
