Research Abstract	Sophus Lie没後百年の時代の節目にあたり、本研究組織が中心となって国際研究集会"SL100"を日本で開催した。このため、幾何、群、微分方程式の有機的な繋がりを目指し研究の一層の展開を図ると同時に、これを中核としてこの方向での世界の指導的な研究者が集まり研究交流を深めた。この国際研究集会の準備のため、1998年9月8日-16日ロシアのカザンに於いて日露の研究集会"Towards 100 years after Sophus Lie"(Organizers:Komrakov,Morimoto)を開き、日本から本研究組織を中心に12名が、ロシアからこの分野の専門家20名余りが参加し、日露の研究交流を深め共同研究の道を拓いた。その成果は日露研究者の20編を超える論文としてLobachevskii Journal発表された。さらに98年11月には山口大学において研究集会「ソフイス・リー没後百年に向けて」を開催し(世話人:森本徹、志磨裕彦)研究内容、企画の両面で国際研究集会の準備を進めた。これらを結集して、99年12月、国際研究集会"Lie groups,Geometric structures,and Differential equations…A hundred years after Sophus Lie"を京都大学数理解析研究所(13日-17日)および奈良女子大学(19日-21日)に於いて開催した(Organizers:.Komrakov,Kuranishi,Malgrange,Morimoto(chairman),Sato,Yamaguchi)。内外約120名の参加者があり、海外から19名、国内13名の講演者を中心に活発な研究討論、交流が展開された。この国際研究集会の報告集は、まず数理解析研究所の講究録、さらに続いてAdvanced Studies in Pure Mathematicsのシリーズから刊行の予定である。
