| Research Abstract |
・今まで申請者が世話役となり,1995年1月27日〜29日,1995年11月23日〜25日,1997年1月14日〜15日,1999年1月21日〜23日と4回に渡り破壊力学の理論研究者と応用数学の研究交流の場が設けた。本年度は,1999年11月15日〜17日に神奈川県湘南国際村で,「破壊の理論研究と数値解析」として上記研究集会の5回目を参加者21名、講演17件で開催した。
・11月14日から25日まで,ロシア科学アカデミーの流体力学Lavrentyev研究所のA.Khludnev教授を招聘した。Khludnev教授から,unilateral条件をもつ亀裂問題について情報収集と議論をした。なお、Khludnev教授は申請者と共に、「破壊の理論研究と数値解析」と、11月17日〜19日の京都大学数理研での「偏微分方程式の数値解法とその周辺」に参加し、参加者と研究交流を行った。
・パリ大学6のO.Pironneau教授とF.Hecht氏及び申請者を中心におこなわれているFreeFEM+が正式公開され、申請者はMS-Windows版の数値視覚化を含む統合システムとしてのフロントエンドを開発し、α版を申請者のホームページhttp://barnard.cs.hkg.ac.jpで公開している。また、OpenGLを使ったUNIXなどでも動作するユーザインターフェースの開発やクライアント・サーバ型プログラムも開発中である。
・ドイツ・シュツツガルト大学のWendland教授を訪ね、Bochniak氏から偏微分境界値問題に関する形状感度解析に関する資料を収集した。
