Research Abstract |
1. The workshop "Theoretical research and numerical analysis on fracture phenomena" was held three times for three years (1998-2000) with about 30 participants and 12 speakers in each workshop. Their travel expenses and lodging charges are supported by this research funds. In this workshop, mathematicians and theoretical researchers on fracture mechanics joined and discussed each other on fracture phenomena after interesting lectures. The first workshop was held in 27-29 Jan.1995 and the recent workshop was 6th in 10-12 Nov.2000. 2. The applicant have been the member of FreeFem+ project whose leader is Prof.Pironneau belonging to Paris University 6. Another member is Frederic Hecht in Paris VI.We publish FreeFem+ in the site "http : //www-rocq.inria.fr/Frederic.Hecht/FreeFemPlus.htm". My main part is the user interface for MS-Windows version of FreeFem+. Now I making the visualization tool "vffem" for FreeFem+ that shows the level lines, 3 dimensional graph with shading, wire frame etc. This software has been constructed by OpenGL (GLUT) and using C++. I will publish "vffem" in near future.
