電子型高温超伝導体単結晶におけるスピン・電荷秩序と電荷ダイナミクス

Research Abstract

今年度はNd_<2-x>Ce_xCuO_<4+y>(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.125,0.15)の各単結晶試料をTraveling Solvent Floating Zone法で作製し、光反射率スペクトルを測定することによってその電荷・格子ダイナミクスの温度依存性を調べた。x=0.05,0.10,0.125のas grownの試料においては、x=0.15の非超伝導試料において観測された擬ギャップ構造と同様の構造、および格子振動モードの異常が温度の低下とともに観測された。このことは、本系において、電荷整列あるいは電子論的相分離の不安定性が広い組成範囲にわたって存在していることを示している。また、x=0.15の試料との違いは、ドーピング濃度の低下とともに、擬ギャップ構造のエネルギーが大きくなっていくこと、および、擬ギャップ構造の現れ始める温度が高くなっていくことの2点である。
さらに、X=0.125は超伝導-非超伝導転移点の極近傍の試料であるが、この組成でAr中でアニール処理を施した試料に対しても実験を行った。抵抗率は金属的であるが、低温でアップターンを示し超伝導は発現しない。この試料においても、抵抗率のアップターンよりやや高温から擬ギャップ構造が成長しはじめることが観測された。このことは、このようなギャップ構造を示す不安定性が、本系における超伝導抑制の原因であることを強く示唆している。
