常緑広葉樹林構成種のニッチ分化とシュートの形態的、フェノロジー的特性

Research Abstract	これまで6年間にわたって継続してきた日本の常緑広葉樹林の4ヶ所(沖縄県山原地域、屋久島、千葉県清澄山、宮城県斗蔵山)の主要構成種のシュートフェノロジーの調査を行った。そのほか、今年度は日本の常緑広葉樹林の主要構成群であるクスノキ科の樹種のうちヤブニッケイ属に属する日本自生種3種(ヤブニッケイ、マルバニッケイ、シバニッケイ)を選び、そのシュート構造、芽の構造、分枝型、シュート成長の季節性などについて詳しい調査を行い、温度季節性の増大との関係を調べた。この3種はシバニッケイが北緯24-28度、マルバニッケイが27-33度、ヤブニッケイが25-37度と北方に分布を広げており、そのシュート構造を相互に比較することによって、常緑樹の季節性に対する適応様式を明らかにしようと考えた。その結果、シバニッケイはシレプティック型、マルバニッケイはシレプティック型とプロレプティック型、ヤブニッケイはプロレプティック型の枝を持ち、明らかに南のシレプティツク型の連続成長からプロレプティック型の冬の休眠をはさむ周期成長型への移行が見られ、樹木の形態と温度季節性との密接な関連が明らかになった。
