| Research Abstract |
牛亜科の種から地域集団レベルで詳細な類縁関係の解明により遺伝子資源保全への必要な提言をすること、及び、機能遺伝子の基礎的変異と分布を体系的に明らかにし、有用機能遺伝子変異の研究の検索・利用基盤を形成することにある。
平成11年度は、特に1)ベトナムの在来牛及び水牛の地域集団から得られた試料約400個分のDNAサンプル化と整理・保存、2)ラオスの在来牛及び水牛の地域集団から得られた試料約300個分のDNAサンプル化と整理・保存、並びに3)家畜アジアスイギュウとタマラオ(Bubalus mindorensis)の核型分析と進化に関する研究成果発表を進めた。具体的研究内容としては、1)ミトコンドリアDNA内のチトクロームb遺伝子を含む1150bpの塩基配列の比較から、アジアスイギュウ属全種の分子進化系統樹の作成と成果の論文公表、2)ベトナム及びラオスの在来牛の血液試料を用いた、核遺伝子の産物である血液タンパク、酵素の電気泳動的遺伝変異の解析とこれらの国の在来牛集団内の遺伝的変異の定量と地域集団間における遺伝的分化度の推定及びその成果の取りまとめ、3)細胞遺伝学的研究としては、特に、アジアスイギュウ属の核型を白血球の培養と各種分染法による分析とタマラオ(Bubalus mindorensis)の核型を中心としたアジア水牛属における染色体再構成の進化学的比較研究及び成果の取りまとめと公表を行った。
