Research Abstract

To understand the molecular basis of eukaryotic gene expression system, I have been focusing on the study of transriptional coactivator complexes, especially a signal coactoivator CREB binding protein (CBP) /RNA helicase A/RNA polymerase II complexes. We found the following ((1)-(9)) and believe that the data will contribute the understanding of eukaryotic gene regulation system.
(1) Involvement of RNA helicaseA in complex formation of BRCA1 with RNA polymearse II (Nature Genetics 1998).
(2) Implication of glycation of c-Fos by Core 2 N-acetylglycosaminyltransferase on enhanced cytokine actions and induced hypertrophic myocardium in transgenic mice (FASEB. J. 1999).
(3) Cooperative role of CBP with transcription factor GATA-1 in erythroid differentiation (PNAS. USA 1998).
(4) Transcriptional activatity of an autoimmune protein AIRE and its association with common co-activator CBP (J. B. C. in press 2000).
(5) Dual roles of RNA helicase A on CREB-dependent transcription (Journal submitted).
(6) Molecular mechanism of nuclear import of RNA helicase A (Journal submitted).
(7) Association of TAF130 with poly glutamine protein and its implication in apoptosis of neuronal cells (Nature Genetics revised).
(8) Interaction of CBP with beta-catenine (Journal submitted).
(9) Hypernuclear acetylation in atherosclerotic lesions and activated vascular smooth muscle cells (Biochem. Biophys. Res. Comm. 1999).
