| Research Abstract |
彗星の進化を明らかにするために,実際の彗星を構成している氷微粒子と同じ大きさ,同じ化学組成のアモルファス氷微粒子を用いた彗星核再現実験装置を開発するのが本研究の目的である.本年度は装置の開発を主として行い,次のような要求を満たす装置を作製した:
(1)直径0.1-1mmでCOやCO2などを含んだアモルファス氷微粒子を大量に作製できること.
(2)作製したアモルファス氷微粒子を低温下で大量に堆積させられること.
(3)アモルファス氷微粒子層の加熱や,紫外線照射などができること.
(4)加熱あるいは紫外線照射などによるアモルファス氷微粒子層からの揮発性分子の脱ガス,アモルファス氷微粒子自体の構造変化,アモルファス氷微粒子層の構造変化などを各種の分析法で調べられること.
