Research Abstract |
This research intends to establish a precise CG model of the human body for motion analysis and simulation in medical science and sports, We also aim to develop a database system which can store and retrieve human figures, postures and motions based on the feature analysis and the intention study, In the first year we proposed the "mediator" concept for the parts of the human body to represent bodies by an optimum set of CG objects. In the second year we extend the above 'shape' mediator to 'motion' mediator including structure (degree of freedom for each joint etc,) and motion information. These mediators can be used to describe the characteristics of clients of the specific disease or in the rehabilitation. Finally we had a workshop to exchange opinions between the computer scientists and the medical doctors.
