| Research Abstract |
平成11年度は、基数不変量と反復強制法の理論の関係及びその代数学への応用についての研究を行った。特に、cを連続体の濃度とすれば、c=N_2という仮設に焦点を絞った。研究の概略は以下のとおりである。
1.連続体の基数不変量の、非可算基数の組合せ論的性質への影響。特に、測度の加法制を仮定すると、任意のCohen代数に対してMartinの公理MAが成り立つことを示した。一方、c【greater than or equal】N_2、零イデアルの被覆と〓という組合せ論的原理が同時に成り立つことは無矛盾であることも証明した。「零」を「痩」に置き換えた同様の無矛盾性は、渕野、ShelahとSoukupの関連した最近の研究によって得られた。
2.Gross空間の組合せ論。Kを可算体、EをK上の非可算次元のベクトル空間とし、φ:E^2→Kを対称的双一次形式とする。任意の無限次元の部分空間U【less than or equal】Eに対して、直交補空間U^⊥の次元がdim(E)より小さいとき、(E,φ)をGross空間と呼ぶ。ShelahとSpinasは、c=N_2かつ有限体上のGross空間が存在しないことの無矛盾性を示し、Shelahは、c=N_3かつ可算体上のGross空間が存在しないことの無矛盾性を証明した。一方、こうした結果を完全にするために、c=N_2を仮定すると、可算無限体上のGross空間が存在するという定理を得た。
3.完全集合公理とc=N_2oいくつかの適当な公理を仮定するとc=N_2が成り立つという、Godelの不完全な論法を修正した。そのGodelの公理の一つを分析することによって次の完全集合公理PSPに関する結果を得た。濃度がκ以上であり、実数部分集合族Γに属する任意の集合に対して、完全部分集合が存在することを、PSP(κ,Γ)が成り立つという。G_<N1>を濃度がN_1以下である開集合族の共通部分の族とし、δをdominating numberとすると、PSP(N_1,G_<N1>)とδ【greater than or equal】N_2が同値となる。
