可換Banach環及びBanach modulesの分類

Research Abstract

物を分類するとき、いくつかの条件を設定し、それらを満たすクラスを考えることによって分類するという方法があり、本研究の理念は、可換Banach環及びBanach modulesを自然な条件を設定することによって分類し、具体的な環やmoduleがどのクラスに属するか、また同じクラスに属する環やmoduleはどんな不変な性質を共有するのかを調査することによって、可換Banach環やBanach modulesの本質を探ろうとするところにあった。この理念に基づき、我々は先にBSE-環及びBSE-Banach modulesのクラスを導入し、これを研究してきた。前年度は特に具体的な環として局所コンパクト可換群上のSegal環に注目し、そのBSE性と(Jones-Lahrの意味での)有界弱近似単位元との関係およびその構成方法に関する研究を行ったのであるが、これはその後より精密な考察を付け加え、論文として纏めた。この論文はActa Scientiarum Mathematicarumにacceptされた。以上は北大の井上純治氏の協力を得てなされたものである。
更に可換Banach環のなかでも各元が他の2乗で表わされるような環の特徴付けに興味を持ち、特に可換C^*-環の場合に考察し、その極大イデアル空間の位相的性質で特徴付けた。実際1次のコホモロジーが潰れていて被覆次元が1以下であるような局所連結コンパクトHausdorff空間がそのようなものである。この結果はProceedings of the American Mathematical Societyにacceptされた。
他に物を分類するという立場からC^*-環上のspatial numerical rangeの特徴付けに関するもの、Banach空間上の色々な不等式、特にHlawka不等式に関する研究がなされた。これらの結果もしかるべきジャーナルに掲載もしくは掲載予定である。詳細は研究発表の欄を参照されたい。
