Research Abstract

This paper is consisted of three components ; survey of collaborated collect and delivery system in Fukuoka city, survey of Pocket Loading for efficient physical distribution system in Takamatsu city, and experimental survey of Pocket Loading System in Tokyo.Pocket Loading is a small parking lot in - which a delivery van loads or unloads goods. It is managed automatically by operating machines which locks a vehicle with the plate moving up and down from underneath the vehicle.
According to the surveys, this report describes the significance of Pocket Loading System as an advanced road transport system and alleviation of traffic congestion that were validated through the social experiments. Moreover, it is proposed that total composition of Pocket Loading System by ITS (Intelligent Transport System) which suppose to be included Pocket Loading Control Center.
