導電性と発光性及び液晶性を併せ持つ多元機能型共役高分子の合成と物性

Research Abstract |
芳香族共役系高分子の側鎖に液晶基を導入して、液晶性を付与させるとともに、液晶のもつ分子配向能を利用して導電性や発光特性に電気的異方性や発光二色性を発現させることに成功した。 (1)液晶性を有する芳香族共役系高分子、ポリパラフェニレン誘導体、ポリパラフェニレンビニレン誘導体、ポリチオフェン誘導体、およびポリチエニレンビニレン誘導体を合成した。 (2)合成したポリマーについて、示差走査熱量計による液晶転移温度の測定、偏光顕微鏡観察による液晶相の光学模様の観察、およびX線回折による液晶相の帰属を通じて、液晶性高分子の高次構造とその形成過程を明らかにした。 (3)強磁場下で液晶状態にあるポリマーを配向させ、巨視的配向構造を構築した。次に、紫外・可視および赤外吸収スペクトルにおける光学的二色比を算出して、液晶相での秩序度を定量的に評価した。 (4)液晶状態で磁場配向させたポリマーについて化学ドーピングを行い、導電性の向上と分子配向に伴う電気的異方性を発現させた。 (5)配向ポリマーについて蛍光スペクトルを観測し、発光二色性を確認するとともにその光学的異方性を発現さえることに成功した。
