Research Abstract |
In this research, we planned to clarify the way to desirable sex education for children with disability. Our strategy of research contained five components. Firstly we studied the actual condition of sex education in special school for children with physical and/or intellectual disability. The most of special school (83%) had a program of sex education. There was no strategy and tactics on sex education in special education. The concrete problems in sex education on special school was the lost of goal for sex education. Secondly, we disclosed that the character of instructor influenced the contents and effects of sex education in special school. The existence of key person for sex education is important to do sex education in special education. Thirdly we showed the many problems, i.e.. Relationship between a man and a woman, masturbation, exaggerate physical contact and fetishism, in the institute for the adults with intellectual disability. The stuff of those institutes requested a communication skill for sex education in special school. Fourthly we could studied the actual condition of the supporting system for the parents with intellectual disability in child caring. We found that mother with intellectual disability could take the, maternal affection for her child. Finally we showed the images for sex and sexuality of the parents having the children with intellectual disability. They had hard images for sex and sexuality for their own children with intellectual disability.
