Research Abstract	完全データが与えられた場合の多変量正規分布の母数推定論は,多変量解析の多くの書物において取り上げられている題材である。本研究では,主に不完全データもしくはミッシング(欠測)のあるデータを含む場合の統計解析法について研究し,つぎの結果を得た。 (1)2つの多変量正規分布にしたがう完全データから松下の類似度の最尤推定法および制限付き最尤法を利用する推定法について調べ,3つの偏り修正法の比較を行った(Minami and Shimizu,1999)。本研究の結果は不完全データに対して発展する余地が残されている。 (2)2地点降雨量の積モーメントと共分散のしきい値法による推定について調べた(Hossain and Shimizu,1999)。降雨量データは,レーダにより降雨量を推定する状況を考えると,あるダイナミックレンジ内のデータから分布のパラメータを推測せざるを得ないという意味で不完全なデータである。しきい値法はそのような不利な状況を軽減する方法の一つと考えられる。 (3)2つの2変量正規分布にしたがう不完全データから松下の類似度の最尤推定法および制限付き最尤法を利用する推定法について調べた(Minami,Shimizu and Mishra,to appear)。 (4)つくばで得られた地上ライダー雲底データについて分布の適合を検討した(Takagiwa et al.to appear).雲の鉛直分布は,もし下層に光学的に厚い雲があると地上ライダーからのデータはミッシングを含む構造になっていると考えられるので,衛星ライダーデータによる今後の検討が必要である。
