| Research Abstract |
1.クラスターにおける通信アルゴリズム
クラスターにおいて効率的で演算コストの少ないスキャターアルゴリズムを複数考案した。シミュレーションの結果これらのアルゴリズムはこれまでに考えられていたアルゴリズムより優れた性能を持つことが判明した。
2.性能検証
我々の研究室にConveyソフトウェアを用いたクラスターを構築して,WWWサーバーとしての性能を検証した。実験の結果,巨大なファイルのダウンロード要求に対して高い性能を示したが,多数の小さなファイルのダウンロード要求に対しては,クラスター内での要求の配分に時間を要するため性能が低下することが判明した。
3.アプリケーション
我々はクラスターを用いた画像処理のアプリケーションについても研究し,福島県の一部地域を3次元処理されたコンピュータグラフィックスで表現するアプリケーションを開発した。
