| Research Abstract |
(1) We studied the BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) concept, which is drawing attention in recent years, as the method to construct and to maintain public infrastructures shared by various groups, nations or parties in the region. Although an international project is conventionally organized for constructing an large public infrastructure, and its funds needed for the promotion are procured with project finance, in this research we clarified the difference between BOT method and conventional project finance by using a mathematics model as policy to construct and maintain international public infrastructures in developing countries
(2) The Kura canal is one of the international public infrastructures. It was proposed before or more in 200 years at Kura isthmus of south part in Thailand, but has not materialized yet. There are several alternative routes. We evaluate the Kura canal routes to select the best one by the AHP method,
(3) We applied our network flow theoretical model to the multipurpose dams construction project known as "The ultra wide water flow control system in the East Himalayan river", that is planned to Ganges upstream for the irrigation/drinking water in Nepal, the generation of electric power in India, and the flood prevention in Bangladesh.
